How effective are lower back surgeries for for bulging disc n are there any side effects. does it limit u from doing certain things?

Be careful: Studies have shown a poor correlation between a "bulging disc" and the presence of back pain. Some would consider back surgery only in the presence of definite abnormalities of the neurological exam with leg (and not just back) symptoms. Removal of parts of the disc with fusion can be done but even if successful there can be emerging problems later at the disc sites above/below the current site.
