A member asked:

I often wake up with numbness in hands; have elbow pain during the day; was diagnosed with sciatica; have bulging discs in back; obese. back surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sciatica: is an inflammation of the sciatic nerve which runs from the buttock area down and around the leg. Surgery is a last resort. I suggest speaking to your orthopedic physician about oral or injected anti inflammatory medicines.
