Safety issues that dentists cause?

Not caused: I would not say dentists cause safety issues. There are safety issues in all medical professions.Dentists use medications for numbing, nitrous oxide, and they use amalgam for fillings. These are subjects to know about. Anyone can react to a medication at any time so be clear when medications are needed about how your body reacts. Ask about non amalgam filling material to avoid metal exposure.

Environment issues?: Dentists also use x-rays. Digital x-rays reduce radiation exposure by up to 75%. The dentist should be protecting the patient with a lead apron that has a thyroid collar. Dentists should also be using an amalgam separator to avoid hazardous materials from going into the sewer. Patients should also wear protective eye wear during all dental procedures.
