Top molar on right side is bad and causes me pain. very sensitive to hot & cold but now pain in ear and temple. dentist appt thursday. any advice?

Until appointment:: Avoid hot and cold foods and liquids, uses OTC pain medication such as Advil, Aleve, (naproxen) Motrin or what you would normally take for a headache and if necessary see if you can get an earlier appointment (or find another dentist to at least see you for this emergency). Try to save the tooth if possible.
