Yes: Because the skin on the penile shaft and glans penis is so thin cryo usually ends up being full thickness through the skin. This = scar. If you destroy just the epidermis it will heal without a scar. Imiquimod causes the body to react to the infected cells and destroy them with your own immunologic response. It only affect the epidermis cells therefore the result is no scar. Good health

Yes, but! : Yes Imiquimod could harm whatever tissue it touches, but for penile warts if you have a lot, you may get better results with the cream then with cryo. Cryo can cause scarring and does hurt a lot when applied. Plus with the cream you can do it on your own without having frequent returns to the doctors office for cryo. Try the cream first if that's what your doctor suggested!
