What would happen if i took pain killer on empty stomach?

Depends on Med: Painkillers generally involve narcotics &/or anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS) or acetominophen.On an empty stomach, these may be absorbed more quickly BUT, NSAIDS can cause stomach irritation, gastritis, ulceration.Narcotics slow down the bowel, so constipation may be enhanced with bloating & discomfort.Be cautious when taking any of these, esp. NSAIDS without food.
