What causes my nose to get bright red?

Rosacea?: An occasional red nose is normal because the nose contains many small veins and capillaries. However, repeated flushing of the nose may be a sign of rosacea, especially if redness of the face is accompanied by other findings such as sensitive skin (stinging, burning), papules, pustules, broken capillaries or red gritty eyes.
