Pimples: Cavernous sinus thrombosis is an extremely serious complication which can result from "popping" pimples from any aspect of the lesion. Gentle washing with a washcloth using water and mild soap in most cases suffices for facial cleansing. Well "popping" is commonplace it can both lead to scarring and more serious complications and so should be best avoided.
