A member asked:

What are the odds/chances of getting cavernous sinus thrombosis or a brain abscess [or other brain problem] from popping a pimple on your nose/etc?

Popping pimples on various sites on the face happens at an unknown rate among those effected. We know that brain abscesses & cavernous sinus thrombosis do occur & are related to introduction of germs from sites in the triangle formed between the eyes & mouth. Actual odds are undefined but it is not common.
