Longer lasting: A longer lasting fever reducer such as Alleve, which is supposed to last close to 12 hours, may be helpful. Even Ibuprofen should last 6 hours, so this may give you a little more time. Or set an alarm for 3 1/2 hours and take next dose of Tylenol (acetaminophen) if you can't use NSAID's for some reason.
