Difference: There is a difference between axillary, oral, and rectal temperatures which is normal. Oral is closer to a 'core temperature' as the measurement is inside the body, as opposed to axillary which is on the skin (and typically 1-1.5 degrees lower). If you don't feel ill right now I would not worry about the number being low. The is some variability in what is considered normal.
