Baby no side effects: The baby's GI tract is not developed enough at 10 weeks to have specific side effects from medication. The concern about many medications at this state of pregnancy is about concerns of how the medication may affect growth and/or normal development of the baby, as lots is going on right now. I don't know what laxative you took, but best to discuss specifics with your OB - including your problems.
