What protection?: BV and candida infections are not STDs, although your male partner can reintroduce the organisms if they are on the skin of his penis. You should not be getting trichomonas if he is wearing a condom and it has not broken. That is an STD and you should go and be checked for others. The gynecologist can explain the BV and candidal infections to you in detail. Good luck.
