A member asked:

40 weeks preg, bb hasnt drop, no dilation. dr thinks induction wont work on me. recommended c-section at 41.5 wks. is that too late? worried about risks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

41: 41 weeks is typically the latest that most doctors will go. That is to say, 41+0. I wouldn't wait until 41+5 but that's a personal opinion. Any pregnancy over 40 weeks should be monitored with nonstress test. Especially a pregnancy over 41 weeks. Speak with your doctor about this and be sure to pay attention to any decrease in fetal movement. If you notice any decease --> labor & delivery.
