Bipolar depressed: Sounds like you've been dx'ed bipolar I or II, currently depressed. Your question asked if an SSRI can be substituted for lamictal, as well as which antidepressant is "most potent". The best people to decide which meds you should take are you and your treating doc (together). There is no one "most potent" antidepressant. Talk with ur doc about your current symptoms, so u can feel well ASAP :)
