Latuda (lurasidone): Depending on the dose at which you started, if on a loading regimen, it may take up to a week or two to show some effects. It is usually used at 20 or 40 mg for one week, and up to 80 mg at bedtime to produce effects on psychotic symptoms and mood stabilization. Some people will need up to 160 mg a day. Latina has been reported effective for the depressive phase of bipolar disorder.

1 to 3 weeks: As we usually start it low and taper up, from 20 mg to 100 mg, it can take from 1-3 weeks to start working. Titrating many times prevents side effects. We do not know w certainty its mechanism of action, but we suspect is its effects on receptors and neurotransmitters, like Serotonin, while balancing the Dopamine receptors preventing a switching to mania, like regular antidepressant can.
