See dr.: Keep seeing your dr. and get continuing treatment. Persistent hematomas may become hardened and require surgical intervention. Best wishes.

Hematoma: Consult a surgeon to see if there is a hardened hematoma pressing on nerves in your buttock. If one is present it may have to be excised as hot compresses cannot break down an organized hematoma that old.
