A member asked:

How much time does an eeg test take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About an hour : A routine eeg takes half an hour, but there is additional time needed to put on and take down the electrodes. That being said, sometimes we will run studies for longer time periods (days at a time) in hopes of capturing a rare event.
