It might,: Especially if the neurologist wants a provocation test - sleep deprivation and/or hyperventilation. Any benzodiazepin can cause a false negative on that.

Relaxants: Anxiety medications can make you more relaxed and can effect the eeg or EMG that you are having. If you only take them as needed don't take them. If you need to make sure the technician doing the study knows so the physician reading the study will be able to interpret it correctly. Hope this helps.

Not at all: Do not worry, as most medications do not distort the results of an emg, which is an objective measure of nerve and muscle function at time of test. Eeg however, can reflect many medication effects, and Clonazepam will show up as symettrical high frequency activity, and could, i suppose suppress seizure activity if blood levels are high enough. Discuss with you doctor.
