Talk to them: Tell them how you have been feeling and that you think you need some professional help. Let them know that you need their support and do not blame them for the irrational fears you are having .

Fear: Why do you find a need to discuss it with them? If you must, be simple and direct with them. EVERYONE has a so-called irrational fear, including parents. If they deny this, theyre just kidding themselves. And if they belittle you for your fears or ANY other feelings, their actions say far more about them than yourself. No one is in any position to judge when it comes to fears/feelings in general?
