Tough to advise: Diagnostic confirmation with spinal fluid, pet scanning with new imaging chemicals, is here. We do have a few genetic screens, such as apoe alleles. However, our current meds to treat are rather modest, at best, and not worthwhile to go through testing above at this point. But alternative approaches include Alpha lipoic acid, and phophatidyl serine, and a medical food cerefolin-nac?

Alzheimers: I am very sorry to hear both your parents are suffering from this illness, must be so hard for you. There are tests that can be taken to assess if you have the genetic makeup and there are several trials throughout the country. Consult the alzheimer's association and you will likely be able to locate the trials. Best wishes.
