Discipline: First of all, children are not bad, only their actions!!!! If you tell them they're bad, they believe it. You need to set limits: 1-don't do that 2- if you do that again, time out 3- time out. Period. Not negotiable. If they are old enough to know the rules of: no hittingkickingbitingpushingpinchingpullinghairorswearing, then automatic time out! 1 min/ yr, max 5m. Stick to it, then they listen.

If you are their : pareny or caretaker, think of discipline as teaching, not punishment. At their language level, tell them what behaviors you expect, the reward for compliance & the consequence for non-compliance. Then follow through consistently, as recommended. Positive or negative attention reinforces any behavior. Take a Positive Behavioral Supports class or use a book like " Little People." Catch'em being good
