Treat the cause: Any other "methods" are just trying to cover things up, and that lasts for about five minutes. For example, if you have acid reflux, then a breath mint will work for about five minutes, then you're back to square one. See a dentist to rule out any dental problems, and then see a gastroenterologist for digestive system and diet issues.

Oral hygiene : Thorough oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, antibacterial mouthwashes are a good start. A comprehensive dental evaluation is recommended. Other non-dental causes, such as respiratory or digestive conditions exist. Follow up with regular medical check ups also.
