A member asked:

Hello. my mother had a cold in january, and she's still coughing. she has no communicable illnesses. what could she take to make it go away!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Coughing: The more likely causes are Mycoplasma infection or adult perussis (whooping cough), but this is a very long time to continue coughing regardless of the diagnosis. She should definitely be seen and professionally evaluated. Start with your family doctor.
