See your doctor: With mono, your liver can be inflamed, which can cause some discomfort. It is more common to have discomfort or pain in the left upper abdomen from swelling of the spleen. If you are not eating well or drinking well because of your mono, that could also cause abdominal discomfort. To assess any of these, you should call your own doctor and be examined.
