The mono dose is : ...specifically for treating an uncomplicated UTI (one that's confined to the bladder). "Acute pain under left rib area" is NOT a sign of an uncomplicated UTI, The infection may have traveled up to or towards you left kidney; you might have a kidney stone; it could be something else entirely.
