Depends on what you: are on it for. It is commonly used in people with very severe liver disease, and if this is what you are on it for, then the answer is a definite NO. Not because any interactions with the xifaxan, (rifaximin) but because alcohol in ANY amount is absolutely contraindicated and extremely dangerous if you have liver damage. You need to be asking your doctor these questions, with your whole health history.
