Mostly: At 17 weeks a fetal survey ultrasound should see any major anomalies. Ultrasound can only detect structural type problems so it is limited in determining if the baby is 'healthy'. Combined with other prenatal testing, mom's health and how the baby is growing, it is as close as we can get to being sure.
