Get checked: Well, you need an exam by a urologist ASAP. I wouldnt wait more than 1-2 weeks to get checked, especially if the lump is in the testis itself. It could be epididymitis or spermatocele (best case) or a testicular tumor.

Very good: that you discovered the lump on your testicle and scheduled a doctor appointment. You don't need to do anything else at this time. Your doctor should refer you to a urologist for further care or arrange for some imaging/blood tests.
