See answer: Though it is not possible from your description or without a physical exam to determine the diagnosis and nature of your "lump", any testicular mass or "lump" (especially between the ages of 15-49) should be evaluated by a physician to rule out the possibility of testicular cancer. There are a variety of benign lesions/masses that can arise within the scrotum that can generally be dx'ed by exam.
