Unrelated to tap: spinal tap 1 year ago can cause a bruise now. If bruise was not caused by a known injury then it may be an underlying blood disease that needs to be investigated by a hematologist. some times steroids or Aspirin or anti platelet medications can do so.

Comments: Spinal tap one year ago has NO relationship to a recent bruise. Did she have recent injury? Is there localized pain suggesting bone injury? See your neurologist and evaluate. Also, you do not list meds, is she taking a potent MS disease modifying therapy such as Tysabri (natalizumab) or Gilenya?
