6 weeks post op from spinal fusion with nerve pain in the opposite leg and foot?

Compare the sides : Symptoms in the opposite leg that are identical in location to your first presentation suggest there is a new problem involving of the nerves at the level of surgery which can be due to several post op complications. If the symptoms are not quite identical in distribution then sometimes fusion can lead to issues that may cause nerve irritation one level above/ below the fusion. See the Surgeon!

Dr. Joe Lee answered

Postop spinal fusion: It's not clear if the nerve pain is with numbness and tingling or how severe the pain is. If the pain is significant, it needs to be evaluated since this is not common following spinal fusion.
