Too much fluoride: Daily intake level over 1 mg/kg/day in children up to age 8 results in fluorosis. For children older than 8 years, upper limit has been set at 10 mg per day.

Depends......: Depends on the age and amount of Fluoride in the water. Recommended upper limits in water without added Fluoride are: 6mos-3yrs: 0.25mg/day; 3-6yrs 0.5mg/day; 6-16 yrs. 1.0mg/day more than that on a regular basis would increase the risk of developing fluorosis. The usual upper limit would be above 5.0ppm.
