I have a knee sprain from an accident 5 months ago. i've seen a specialist and got mri on knee. a lcl mild sprain was diagnosed. i went to physical therapy 8 times. swollen and struggling a lot pain not resolved, could that mean possible surgery. ?

Knee sprains: If the MRI only showed a sprain, surgery is not indicated. You should see your orthopedist and review the results together. Surgery is sometimes needed if there are tears - either in the ligaments or meniscus. Even then, surgery is not always indicated. It depends on how significant the injury is and how you are doing clinically.
