Cipralex and coffee?: Cipralex lexapro, escitalopram) an SSRI medication prescribed for various indications, most commonly depression and anxiety disorders. It is not strictly necessary that someone stop caffeine if they are taking an SSRI, and some Pts find caffeine helpful for mood or focus. If you are taking the medication for anxiety, be mindful that caffeine can increase anxiety as well as insomnia.
