Best to ask!: We can only guess what was used and why. It would make more sense to ask the dentist who treated you. That way you can get the answer. Most health care professionals prefer patients ask questions about their treatment.

Ok...: ... so your dentist was preparing the tooth for post(s)? Can only guess since so little info available. You should really be asking this question to your dentist, since s/he knows what those drops were.
