You should floss: Just brushing your teeth doesn't reach the area between the teeth adequately. Flossing is needed to reduce plaque accumulation between the teeth. Without flossing you will get decay between the teeth. If you are prone to decay, ask your dentist to give you Fluoride treatment at your routine dental office visits and possibly Fluoride to use at home.

Flossing is a must: Since you know that your teeth are decaying you need to have a better oral hygiene and a good diet as well, limit your intake of sodas and sweet, brush 3 times a day after meal and floss at bed time. Visit your dentist at least twice a year for routine check ups and cleaning.

Cavities do not self cure. Brushing reaches 2/3 of your tooth surfaces, but does not clean between teeth. Face it, your current oral hygiene program is failing. Time to start over. See Dentists to eliminate infections (cavities) NOW before they get out of hand. Then have Dentist create a new comprehensive Oral Hygiene/diet/professional care program for you.
