How many times should you brush your teeth & floss every day?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Floss x1 , brush x2: You need to floss at least once daily and brush at least 2x daily (3x if you have gum problem). Be sure to aim the brush at 45 degree towards the gum lines. Also try to use a soft brush for 2 minutes at a time.

Concur: Dr chiu's correct. For most people brushing 2x/day for 2 full minutes by the clock, and flossing 1x/day is sufficient. Some people need to bush more often, use inter proximal cleaning adjuncts, use water pik or air flosser, etc. Your dentist/hygienist/periodontist will adjust your oral hygiene program to your individual needs.
