Cbc was normal except rbc @ 5.13 mcv@ 79.9 dr checked ferritin and it's low. previous melanoma removal 9/1/13 platelet @ 487. now its 599. please help?

Seek Consultation: Your platelet count is high.We need to find the reason for this. Your internist or Hematologist will need to investigate the cause for this. It can be benign or related to cancer. But lets confirm it with one or two more readings. If the platelets remain above 500,000 then I would be concerned, otherwise you can watch it periodically with repeat CBC and platelet counts.
