Iron deficiency: the anemia is most consistent with iron deficiency. another cause could be thalassemia. the high WBC count and PMN leucocytosis may indicate inflammation or infection. the high platelet count can be seen in iron deficiency anemia and/or bleeding. Iron deficiency is common among women of menstrual age and who have had children. Speak with your doctor regarding further evaluation and treatment.
