For example: For example, lets take Risperdal-it blocks Dopamine 2 receptors, reduces positive symptoms of psychosis. It blocks serotonin 2A receptors, enhances Dopamine release in certain brain regions, also interacts with myriad of other NT receptors contributing to efficacy. Alpha 2 antagonist properties contributes to antidepressant actions.
