Severe anemia: Babies who have very severe anemia before they are born develop hydrops fetalis. Very severe forms of G6PD deficiency lead to severe anemia in the uterus since the red blood cells cannot protect themselves from oxidative damage.

Maybe: Depending on how much hemolysis is generated, the fetus could become hydropic. There must be a family history of G6PD to clue the OBGYN that this problem may be present, and the Ultrasounds blood flow patterns could demonstrate severe anemia in the fetus.
