What to do about really bad smell from braces band?

Damage: The band is loose, probably from hard/sticky/chewey foods. Bacteria & food debris have gotten in between the band & the tooth and mixture is now rotting, like garbage in a dumpster on a 98.6 degree summer day. Call Orthodontic Specialist for repair before tooth becomes decayed.
