A member asked:

Home ogtt (oral glucose tolerance test), how to do it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not an approved test: Hi. You could conceivably weigh out 75 grams of glucose at home and use a finger stick blood glucose meter and do something very similar to a real, diagnostic Standard 2-Hour OGTT, and get a good sense for your glycemic status, but there is no test approved for home diagnosis. Serum glucose should be used (not whole capillary blood). If you want an OGTT, I surest you go get a real one. Good luck!
