A member asked:

Recently had a fasting glucose of 118 (during a time of high stress). then had ac1 - 5.2 (normal) & non-fasting glucose - 119. should i ask for ogtt?

Options: Hi. Since an OGTT includes a fasting glucose in the test, you could do the OGTT to get both fasting and challenged glucose. A1c and random glucose are the two least sensitive tests for early glycemic abnormalities. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. Good luck!
