Yes: It's OK short term to take the medication you request with Biaxin (clarithromycin) - there are no interactions or contraindications. However, I doubt very much your insomnia is due to our taking Biaxin (clarithromycin). It is just not a side effect of that medication. It is possible you are having trouble sleeping because of the ear infection and nasal congestion.
