Do you have angina?: If there is a valid indication, as determined by a legitimate medical facility, especially if you have unstable or limiting symptoms, angioplasty is a low risk procedure that can very favorably improve the circulation in your heart. If you're unsure of the need, request a 2nd opinion. If there's no question about indication, you should have it done.

Angioplasty: is typically done for short areas of narrowing. Pretty commonly done and safe. You should discuss with your physician about the risks involved. It also depends on location of vessel being treated.
