Just walk: You don't have to climb stairs, although it would be beneficial. Just walking regularly is useful. Walk around the block, around your local park, around a shopping mall. Just walk. Park your car in the last row of the parking lot when you go shopping or to work, walk to the corner mailbox to mail your mail. Start with small distances and gradually increase your distance and time.
