Possibly: If you have opioid-induced hyperalgesia, the first thing to do is to stop using opioids if you want to reduce your hyperalgesia. If you need to use opioids let's say for an upcoming surgery, a low dose ketamine can reduce the hyperalgesia for the time during and after your surgery.

Yes of course ...: The best treatment would be to stop taking opioids of any sort. Then gradually over a period of months, your body's pain sensitivity threshold will return to normal. I have had patients who obtained the same amount of relief from ibuprofen that used to require narcotics the year before.
