Marinol: Marinol seems to help more with nausea & stimulating appetite, than with chronic pain. People with cancer or other illnesses who have lost their appetites and have lost too much weight benefit from this. It's nothing like opiates for pain control. Many medicines and treatments can work better for fibromyalgia than opiates. I hope you and your physicians can find a helpful regimen for you!

Not my area but: Marinol has benefit for anorexia and vomiting, but not typical for pain. Fibromyalgia is a disease of over stimulated nerves and most experts believe that narcotics are not the drug of choice. I would suggest a visit to a rheumatologist.

Depends: Marijuana is effective for pain (with lots of problems) Marinol has a similar mechanism so it probably has some benefit but it has not been studied.
